Up to now, Angola has received more than 10 million new crown vaccines through donations and purchases, and has completed more than 6 million vaccines, covering 7% of the country's population.

The vaccines used in the country come from AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Janssen, Sputnik and Sinopharm. 10 million vaccines were purchased by the state and donated by the Covax initiative.

In order to facilitate the vaccination process and reduce the congestion of vaccination stations, the health and epidemic prevention department has opened more service centers and reminded citizens to make appointment registration through the Internet in advance.

In recent weeks, the country’s multisectoral committee has opened vaccination stations in almost all cities in Luanda, and plans to increase it to 50 locations. The multi-sectoral committee also intends to further decentralize the vaccination process so that everyone can use it.

The epidemic prevention department warned that even though people have been vaccinated, preventive measures should be strengthened. They should keep their distance in public places, wear masks, and often wash their hands with soapy water or use alcohol gel for disinfection.
