Angola establishes national strategic grain reserve

Ann News Agency quoted Eduardo Machado, Chairman of the Public Bidding Evaluation Committee of the National Strategic Food Reserve System, as saying that the initial reserve was about 300,000 tons, and it will be increased to 500,000 tons, which can guarantee the provision of basic food supplies for four consecutive months under extreme conditions.

Eduardo Machado said that the establishment of a national strategic food reserve will help in the event of a crisis, disaster or lack of basic food supply, the state will intervene in the market without compromising free competition and market stability to maintain price balance and ensure food.
